Lirac 0,75L

The Lirac by Xavier Vignon is a true masterpiece of winemaking, hailing from one of the southernmost crus in the renowned Rhône Valley. The appellation extends over the best soils of four communes in the Gard, and the wine comes in three delicious colors.

This particular Lirac is crafted from a selection of 12 plots located within the Lirac appellation, characterized by their unique soils of rolled pebbles and clay. The grapes are harvested by hand, with the determination of harvest dates carefully determined by daily berry and polyphenol analysis. The grapes undergo long macerations without mechanical extraction, resulting in 100% free-run juice, extracted by gravity alone.

The wine is then aged to perfection, with 100% of the Grenache vinified and aged in concrete vats. 30% of the Syrah is aged in unheated barrels for 12 months, in order to preserve the natural sweetness without adding additional structure. The rest of the wine is aged in concrete vats, preserving the purity of the fruit.

This cuvée is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, making for a wine that pairs perfectly with a variety of dishes such as lamb tagine with dried fruit, tournedos of rump steak with bacon, and spinach flan with mustard and walnuts. With a potential aging window of 3 to 5 years, an ideal serving temperature of 14-15°C, and an alcohol degree of 15%, this Lirac is sure to impress even the most discerning wine enthusiasts.
